Granny squares seem to be everywhere lately. They're super versatile and can be worked into lots of projects, such as tote bags, ponchos, sweaters, and even as an accent panel on a pair of jeans.
At this month's session of Sticks & String, we'll learn how to make the basic three-color granny square. We'll also talk about variations and the many ways this humble square can be used.
Please bring some smooth worsted-weight yarn in 1-3 light or medium colors and a hook to match, such as a 5.0 mm (H). A small number of kits will be available.
It is recommended that students be familiar with the following stitches: double crochet, chain, and slip stitch.
All ability levels welcome. No registration required, and you don't need a library card to attend. Just drop in! And feel free to bring a friend.
See you there!
