Come hang out with your fellow crafty folks! Sticks & String is a group of folks who like to knit, crochet, sew, and do other things with sticks and string.

This month we're hosting a mini workshop on how to crochet flat circles. Crocheting a flat circle is a handy technique which is often used in making toys, hats, blankets, and even fancy doilies. During this session we're focusing on creating basic flat circles, using single crochet and as well as taller stitches. By following the formulas, a circle should lay flat. Too many stitches and the circle will ruffle; too few stitches and the circle will cup.

Come and find out some tricks and tips on making the perfect flat crocheted circle! Plan on bringing some worsted-weight yarn and appropriate hooks, such as 4.0 mm, 4.5 mm or 5.0 mm.

All ability levels welcome. No registration required, and you don't need a library card to attend. Just drop in! And feel free to bring a friend.

See you there!
