A safe & affirming space to access resources, engage in learning activities, and build community! Join us for different activities once a month at the library.

About this Month's Session: 

Affirmation Adventure: A Self-Esteem Scavenger Hunt

Focus:
Building self-worth, community connection, and positive identity through interactive, affirming activities.

Goals:

  •  Encourage participants to recognize and celebrate their unique strengths and identities
  • Increase awareness of LGBTQIA+ affirming resources and coping skills
  • Foster peer connection and a supportive environment through shared reflection and expression

Interactive Elements:

  • Write personal affirmations and proud identity statements at the “Mirror Mirror” station
  • Match community resources to needs, raising awareness of support systems at the “Community Connections” station
  • Create a personalized mini coping toolkit with grounding and calming tools at the “Coping Corner” station
  • Add names and identity symbols to the “Identity Wall” to celebrate diversity and belonging
