Are you ready to grow your own vegetables but don’t know where to start? The UC Master Gardeners of Alameda County are excited to introduce "From Seed to Harvest: Vegetable Gardening for Beginners," a hands-on, five-week course designed to help you cultivate a successful and sustainable garden right at home.
Whether you dream of fresh tomatoes, crisp lettuce, or flowers to attract pollinators, this course will guide you through every step—from planning your garden to reaping the rewards of your harvest.
- What: 5 hands-on classes
- When: Saturday mornings, 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
- February 1, 8, 22, (skipping 2/15) March 1, and 8
- Where: Downtown Hayward Library, 888 C St, Hayward, CA 94541
- Who: Beginner gardeners (no experience necessary!) who are residents of Alameda County
- Cost: Free
- Certification: Complete all five sessions to receive a Certificate of Completion.
This program is expected to fill quickly, so don’t wait to claim your spot!
Space is limited, and we encourage you to register early for this exciting opportunity! Participants will be notified of their acceptance by January 18th.
Anyone from Alameda County is welcome to apply! As part of our partnership with the Hayward Public Library, priority will be given to individuals on the Hayward Library mailing list, ensuring we serve the local community first.
