Event Details
More than 7 million Americans live with Alzheimer's, the most common form of dementia, and that number is expected to double by 2060.
However, nearly 45 percent of all dementia cases may be prevented or delayed by making healthy lifestyle changes, reports the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In this talk, we will discuss some fundamental concepts of Chinese medicine - a natural and holistic approach to healing - and how this medical tradition addresses reducing the risk of dementia.
Presented by Julia Lee, a doctor of Chinese medicine. This event is part of the Mindfulness and Healing series. Next in the series: May 23, Foundations of Natural Healing.
