Decade Prep Robotics Workshop is a 3-day-long hands-on workshop intended to introduce students entering 5th through 8th grade to the growing field of competitive robotics.
First, using slides and video, we will present examples of two premier, worldwide robotics competitions: VEX and FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Next, we will break out into small groups and provide an interactive, hands-on experience of building simple robots and block coding; all the supplies needed to build the robot will be provided. At the end of the session, participants will be able to operate a simple robot. The objective is for participants to have a basic understanding of engineering and coding.
This program requires pre-registration. Registration closes on 7/16/25. 25 students will be randomly selected to participate in this workshop. Selected students will receive confirmation by 7/17/25.
Pre-register here.
