Just in time for April Fool's Day: Find out about birds who play tricks.

Why does the killdeer put on a broken-wing act, or the cuckoo lay its eggs in other birds' nests? Discover the methods and motives for birds' sneaky strategies in this fun, photo-filled presentation.

Presented by scientist and storyteller Bob Lewis, winner of the American Birding Association's Chandler Robbins Award for excellence in teaching. His life list includes more than 5,500 birds, and he has a story for each of them.

This program is part of Hayward Public Library's Bay Area Birding series. The next presentation will be May 24, Birds who Arrive in Spring.

Sponsored by Friends of Hayward Library.
