Program Description

Event Details

Escape to Bhutan in this fun, photo-filled presentation about the creatures and culture of the tiny Himalayan nation that calls itself the Happiest Place in the World. With over half of its land forested, Bhutan boasts beautiful and unusual birds such as the Fire-tailed Sunbird as well as distinctive flowers, animals, and architecture. Learn something about them all at this event.

Presented by scientist and storyteller Bob Lewis, winner of the American Birding Association's Chandler Robbins Award for excellence in teaching. His life list includes more than 5,000 birds, and he has a story for each of them.

This program is part of Hayward Public Library's Bay Area Birding series. The next presentation will be inspired by April Fool's Day: March 29, Birds who Play Tricks.

Sponsored by Friends of Hayward Library.
