Do you need help paying your power bill? You may qualify for federal aid.

A representative from Spectrum Community Services will be on site to accept applications and answer questions about the Low Income Home Energy (LIHEAP) assistance program.  

LIHEAP helps qualified households with a one-time-per-program-year payment on their energy bill. 

Please bring copies of:

  1. your current energy bill, including shutoff notice, if you have one
  2. proof of monthly income
  3. U.S. government-issued ID. 

A Spectrum representative will be available 2-4pm on the second Tuesday of every month at the Downtown Hayward Library. Se habla español.

Applications for the LIHEAP program are available in English, Spanish, and Chinese whenever the library is open. Look for the applications in the Community Resource Area behind the elevators on the first floor of the Downtown Hayward Library.
