Join us for a memorable Saturday afternoon as we explore the recently launched book, 10,000 Memories, through an author talk and stories of local community members impacted by the refugee crisis that unfolded during the 1947 Partition of India.
We will travel back in time to the Indian subcontinent vicariously through captivating stories shared by Mrs. Baljit Dhillon Vikram Singh, Mr. Ali Shan, and Maj. General Ravi Chopra. Some of their stories are featured in the book. Through their stories we will explore the era of the 1940s, World War II, Independence, and Partition, allowing you to hear firsthand accounts of this historic but little-documented time period that shaped world history.
