Zocalo Coffee is a women-owned and -operated café with intentionally-sourced ingredients offering a plethora of coffee and non-coffee beverages as well as in-house made snacks and pastries and their own wholesale roasted coffee beans!  Zocalo’s owner, Sara Ubelhart, has been in the coffee business for almost 20 years and a café owner for 12.

The pocket café located in Hayward’s Downtown Library is now Sara’s third café location in the East Bay. She has made sure that all three of her cafés focus on strengthening the community and serving as a hub of connection. The addition of Zocalo Coffee’s downtown Hayward location embodies Sara’s discovery of coffee having the power to bring people together to build communities across borders and around tables. And there’s no better place to continue this mission than a public library!

We look forward to seeing you!
