Learn how to make a 4''x6" fabric postcard you can send in the mail. This is a fun and easy beginner project, which can be made from materials you are likely to have on hand.

All materials for this workshop will be provided: fabrics, thread, scissors, glue sticks, and a sewing machine.

Many samples will be shared, to show you a wide variety of creative approaches.

Led by quilting artist Dolores Vitero-Presley of the Sew ‘n Sews Quilt Group. Dolores Vitero-Presley is a long-time member of the African American Quilt Guild of Oakland. Her quilts have been featured in numerous group exhibits, private and public collections, and as artist in residence and outreach in an extensive list of venues. She was honored by the AAQGO for her outstanding contributions to the organization since its inception in 2000. Learn more about the AAQGO on their website - https://www.aaqgo.org/AAQGO/ - and in this New York Times feature article: https://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/03/arts/design/quilts-with-a-sense-of-place-stitched-in-oakland.html
