Event Details

Please join us in celebrating our local literary arts scene! Hayward LitHop showcases a variety of local writers' groups performing at venues throughout downtown Hayward.

Here's the schedule:

  • 2:00: Hayward Heritage Plaza - Live music featuring the East Bay Symphonic Band
  • 3:00: Hayward Heritage Plaza - Poetry readings, and Hayward's new Poet Laureate will be announced
  • 4:00-7:00: Downtown Hayward businesses and venues - Readings by the AfroSurreal Writers Workshop of Oakland, Bay Area Queer Writers, CA Writers' Club Berkeley, Women's National Book Association, Horror Writers Association, Mystery Writers of America, East Bay SciFi and Fantasy Writers, Women Who Submit Lit, Hayward Peer Writers, HARD Senior Scribes, Spanish Speakers of Chabot College, CSU East Bay, and Books on B
  • 7:00: Odd Fellows Sycamore Lodge - Party! A fun gathering with music and food
