June marks LGBTQ Pride Month! Kick off your summer holiday by embracing who you are. Celebrate yourself and each other. Join us in creating vibrant rainbow art with our talented artist Hetal Anjaria.
In this enjoyable art class, participants will craft unique pieces of art, infusing them with vibrant colors using oil pastels. Adding playful characters to the artwork enhances the fun! Let's embark on this creative journey together and celebrate individuality by simply being ourselves.
This collaborative art class series is presented in partnership with the Hayward Arts Council and supported by the Hayward Friends of the Library. Designed for children aged 5-12, caregivers and parents are not only welcome but also encouraged to join in and draw alongside their kids. Let's create lasting memories together!

About the artist:
Raised in Mumbai, India, Hetal Anjaria was captivated by the natural beauty and diverse cultures of her bustling city. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Textile Design in Mumbai before relocating to Fremont, California. There, she honed her artistic skills across multiple mediums, including oil, watercolor, color pencil, acrylic, traditional dye, coffee, and turmeric. Hetal has showcased her work in numerous exhibitions and competitions throughout the Bay Area, earning accolades such as the American Art Awards and the Alameda County Virtual Fair 2020.

Criada en Mumbai, India, Hetal Anjaria quedó cautivada por la belleza natural y las diversas culturas de su bulliciosa ciudad. Obtuvo su licenciatura en Diseño Textil en Mumbai antes de mudarse a Fremont, California. Allí, perfeccionó sus habilidades artísticas en varios medios, incluidos óleo, acuarela, lápiz de color, acrílico, tintes tradicionales, café y cúrcuma. Hetal ha exhibido su trabajo en numerosas exposiciones y competiciones en toda el área de la Bahía, ganando reconocimientos como los Premios de Arte Americano y la Feria Virtual del Condado de Alameda 2020.
