Come learn how to hand-stitch a tiny "crumb quilt"!
Crumb quilting is a playful style of improv quilting where you use scraps of fabric that are too small for most purposes. It's a great way to reduce waste and build your creativity muscles! Only basic hand sewing skills are needed; all tools and supplies for making one tiny quilt, the perfect size for a mug rug, will be provided.
But wait, there's more! Got stash? This event is also a fabric, craft supply, and crafting tool swap. If you have fabric scraps, partial skeins of yarn, half-used tubes of paint, a bead loom you'll never use... you get the idea; if you have supplies you're starting to think you may never get around to, bring them along. Someone else may give them a loving home and use them to make something fabulous. And you might find some treasures to take home!
Got nothing to bring? Don't worry! Please do show up and help us "rescue" fabric and other supplies that might otherwise end up in the landfill. And learn how to make a tiny quilt while you're here!
