Program Description

Event Details

Find out what you need to know about backyard birds. Should you feed them? If so, what? What about cats, rats, and other animals that come for the birds or their dinner? Learn tips about how to set up outdoor cameras and discover how you can help birds and scientists by joining the annual Backyard Bird Count. Register now to reserve your spot!

Presented by scientist and storyteller Bob Lewis, winner of the American Birding Association's Chandler Robbins Award for excellence in teaching. His life list includes more than 5,500 birds, and he has a story for each of them.

This program is part of Hayward Public Library's Bay Area Birding series. It is the final presentation for 2025.

Sponsored by Friends of Hayward Library.
